Laura Amandis can only be described as a knowledgeable horse trainer, an entertainer with pizzazz and a person with a passion for sharing her experience.  She is committed  to the utmost development of horses, riders and trainers.

Ms. Amandis has shared the spotlight with some famous equine stars.  She presented Walter Farley's Black Stallion at international horse shows both in New York's Madison Square Garden and the MCI Center in Washington, D.C.  Numerous other venues around the country were also host to the Black Stallion Literacy Project.  Laura Amandis spent 12 years as an integral part of the creative team of the Arabian Nights in Orland Florida, not only home to the Black Stallion but also to many other equine superstars.   Laura worked as a trainer, performer and costume designer, and then ultimately became the show's Director and Senior Vice President of Entertainment from 1999 to 2004. For the last several years Laura has been performing with her partner, the majestic Andalusian Stallion, Acierto.  Her appearances include Equine Affaire's Pfizer Fantasia, The Midwest Horse Fair, Can-Am All Breeds Equine Emporium, as well as The Andalusian Nationals.  Laura rides Acierto demonstrating his amazing capabilities with great balance and precision, but the real crowd pleaser is the Liberty Routine.  Responding only to the subtlest of cues, the magnificent Acierto dances with Laura, as well as prances, pirouettes and rears.  This presentation stuns the crowd, and many audience members declare that the performance is so beautiful they were brought to tears! The International Andalusion Lustiano Horse Assosiation (IALHA) awarded Laura the title 2006 Goodwill Ambassador for the Andalusian Horse, in recognition of the work she has done in presenting the Andalusian Breed in its finest light.  Whether sliding a reining horse across the smoke-filled arena floor or skipping rope standing on the back of a galloping Percheron Rosinback horse, Laura Amandis is exceedingly unique and versatile.
